Welcome to JAMIEDUKES.COM. I played 10 years in the NFL during the 80’s and 90’s. In February of 2008 I found myself at 385 pounds which was almost 100 pounds over my playing weight. Like many of you, I tried numerous diets and nothing worked. In July of 2008 I made a life changing decision to have the Realize Gastric Band installed and to date I have lost over 90 pounds.
This site was established to empower people who are obese to do whatever is necessary to get healthy. For some, dieting may work, but for others a different approach needs to be explored. An unfair stigma has been placed on Bariatric Surgery which in my mind is leading to unnecessary deaths. I ask you to team up with me to fight obesity and in the process tear down the barriers that are keeping family, friends and loved ones from getting the “Tools” necessary to save their lives.
